SECTION 1
GENERAL INFORMATION ONLY
The information published on The African Nation website is provided for general educational, charitable, community-outreach, and program-development purposes. AFN may revise website content as plans, funding, partnerships, staffing, facilities, schedules, policies, and community needs change. Information on the website should not be interpreted as a binding promise, contract, guarantee, job offer, enrollment offer, scholarship, grant award, sponsorship agreement, partnership agreement, credential, license, or professional advice.
SECTION 2
STAGED PROGRAM DEVELOPMENT
AFN is developing its programs in stages so that each initiative can be planned and launched responsibly.
- AFN Art Academy The Art Academy is AFN's current development and fundraising priority. It is not yet operating and is not currently accepting participant, employment, instructor, contractor, or volunteer applications.
- AFN Skilled Trades Exploration Academy The Skilled Trades Exploration Academy is the next planned youth program. It is not currently operating, recruiting, enrolling, hiring, licensed, accredited, or credential-granting.
- Other Youth Academies and Enrichment Programs Other academies and enrichment programs described on the website are future possibilities only. Their inclusion does not guarantee that they will be developed or launched.
- Jazz and Soul Preservation Jazz and Soul Preservation is a future adult cultural initiative. It is not currently operating as a recurring program, venue, performance series, or employment initiative.
SECTION 3
NO IMPLIED OPERATIONS OR ENROLLMENT
Unless AFN publishes a specific official launch announcement, proposed programs should not be understood as:
- Currently operating.
- Fully funded.
- Accepting applications or registrations.
- Hiring youth, instructors, staff, contractors, or volunteers.
- Providing guaranteed wages, schedules, placements, or benefits.
- Offering confirmed classes, field trips, performances, exhibitions, or job-site visits.
- Using confirmed facilities, transportation providers, instructors, partners, or sponsors.
- Guaranteed to begin in a particular month, season, or year.
SECTION 4
PAID YOUTH SUMMER JOBS NOTICE
AFN's mission centers on creating structured paid youth summer-employment opportunities through educational, cultural, creative, and career-exploration programs. Compensation, schedules, job duties, attendance requirements, eligibility standards, supervision, payroll procedures, workplace rules, and other employment terms will apply only after a particular program is funded, approved, and officially launched. No youth employment relationship is created by visiting the website, joining an email list, donating, submitting a general contact form, expressing interest, attending an informational event, or discussing a possible future program. When opportunities become available, AFN will publish separate official application materials and employment conditions.
SECTION 5
ART ACADEMY NOTICE
The planned AFN Art Academy will encourage participants to create work inspired by their surroundings, cultures, families, communities, and personal experiences. Planned elements may include drawing, painting, visual storytelling, supervised plein air outings, artistic assignments, portfolio development, paid summer-job responsibilities, and a final public exhibition. These descriptions explain the intended program model. They do not confirm that instructors, facilities, transportation, supplies, exhibition space, participants, sponsors, or launch dates have been secured.
SECTION 6
SKILLED TRADES NOTICE
The planned Skilled Trades Exploration Academy is intended to provide introductory career exposure through activities such as basic supervised tool identification and safety, career research, union-hall visits, training-center visits, professional presentations, and limited supervised job-site observation. The academy will not be represented as:
- A trade school.
- An apprenticeship sponsor.
- A union training program.
- A licensing authority.
- An accredited educational institution.
- A certification or credential-granting program.
- A substitute for licensed vocational, apprenticeship, college, or professional training.
SECTION 7
FUNDRAISING AND DONATION NOTICE
AFN may seek charitable donations, sponsorships, in-kind contributions, grants, and community support for program development and other approved charitable purposes. A donation does not create a right to employment, enrollment, program placement, preferential treatment, governance authority, control over curriculum, or participation in any AFN program. Fundraising goals, examples of possible uses, and projected program needs are planning tools unless AFN specifically reports that a particular amount has been received or committed. AFN may redirect unrestricted contributions to the organization's charitable priorities as permitted by law and organizational policy. Any restricted contribution must be accepted and used according to AFN's written policies and applicable law.
SECTION 8
PARTNERS, SPONSORS, AND THIRD PARTIES
References to organizations, businesses, schools, colleges, unions, training centers, cultural institutions, artists, instructors, employers, contractors, or community groups may describe potential categories of support or future outreach. Such references do not mean that a partnership, endorsement, sponsorship, affiliation, placement, visit, or contractual relationship exists. AFN will publicly identify a partner or sponsor only after the relationship has been approved and AFN has permission to use the appropriate name, logo, or description. Third-party websites, services, payment platforms, or resources linked from the AFN website are governed by their own terms and privacy practices.
SECTION 9
ACCREDITATION, LICENSING, AND CREDENTIALS
Unless expressly stated in a future official announcement, AFN programs are not accredited schools, colleges, trade schools, apprenticeship sponsors, licensing agencies, or credential-granting institutions. Participation in an AFN program does not by itself qualify a person for a professional license, union membership, apprenticeship credit, academic credit, certification, employment placement, or admission to another institution.
SECTION 10
IMAGES, TESTIMONIALS, AND REPRESENTATIONS
Photographs, illustrations, videos, and stock images used on the AFN website may be representative and may not depict actual AFN participants, staff, instructors, programs, partners, facilities, or events. UENI should not label stock-image subjects as AFN students, employees, artists, instructors, sponsors, or partners. Participant stories, testimonials, quotes, attendance figures, program results, awards, and impact statistics must not be published unless AFN has verified and approved them and has obtained any necessary permission.
SECTION 11
WEBSITE FORMS AND EMAIL LISTS
Submitting a general contact form, partnership inquiry, donor inquiry, volunteer-interest message, or email-list subscription does not create an employment, enrollment, volunteer, instructor, contractor, sponsorship, partnership, or contractual relationship. Visitors should not submit Social Security numbers, financial-account credentials, medical records, identification documents, or other highly sensitive information through general website forms. Separate official forms will be created when AFN opens a verified application, employment, volunteer, instructor, contractor, event, or enrollment opportunity.
SECTION 12
SAFETY, SUPERVISION, AND TRANSPORTATION
Descriptions of planned field activities, plein air painting outings, facility visits, union-hall visits, training-center visits, tool demonstrations, or job-site observations are subject to final safety procedures, supervision standards, permissions, insurance, transportation arrangements, site approval, and participant eligibility requirements. No such activity should be treated as confirmed until AFN publishes official program information.
SECTION 13
NO GUARANTEE OF RESULTS AFN
intends to help young people build skills, responsibility, confidence, creativity, cultural awareness, and career understanding. Individual experiences and outcomes will vary. AFN does not guarantee employment after a program, admission to a school or apprenticeship, artistic sales, awards, career placement, union acceptance, academic credit, professional licensing, business success, or any other particular result.
SECTION 14
MINORS AND PARENT OR GUARDIAN INVOLVEMENT
Future youth programs may require parent or legal guardian consent, emergency information, employment documents, transportation permissions, medical or safety disclosures, media releases, and other program-specific forms. The general public website and contact forms are not substitutes for those official documents.
SECTION 15
WEBSITE ACCURACY AND UPDATES
AFN will make reasonable efforts to keep website information accurate. However, errors, outdated statements, broken links, or changed plans may occur. Visitors should rely on the most recent dated official announcement and may contact AFN to verify information before making decisions based upon the website. AFN may correct, revise, remove, or archive content without prior notice.
